The RPL Focus Awards Level 3 Diploma Practitioner in Personal Training (RQF) qualification is where you are exempt from some of the required units in the course. You will receive the same Level 3 Personal Trainer Practitioner qualification and be able to become registered in the UK with CIMPSA. On the CIMSPA website click on Occupational professional standards “ACCESS DIRECTORY” to locate the Focus Awards’ PERSONAL TRAINER qualifications on the CIMSPA website.
The most common scenario is being exempt from the 2 x A&P units because you have the appropriate exercise/sport BSc. This reduces the cost to £795.00 from the usual £995.00
The more units you are exempt from, the more the price of the course is reduced. The cost for someone showing up to 3 units covered in a relevant BSc degree is £795.00.  The cost for someone showing all 11 unit certificates from a recognised Awarding Body  RPL is £325.00. You can see the 11 units here on the full priced version of the course.

Your Path to Level 3 Personal Trainer Qualification through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in the UK
Becoming a Level 3 Personal Trainer in the UK is an exciting venture, and if you’ve amassed years of industry experience or hold an exercise-related BSc degree, Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) offers a streamlined route to obtaining your qualification.
RPL is a process that acknowledges and values the skills, knowledge, and experience you’ve gained throughout your career. Instead of rehashing what you already know, RPL allows you to leverage your existing expertise towards achieving a Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.

Here’s how you can effectively utilise RPL for your Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification:
1. Assessment of Prior Learning:
Begin by undergoing a thorough assessment of your prior learning. This involves evaluating your professional experience, qualifications and any relevant certifications. You may have a BSc or MSc degree or a previous personal training qualification. Please contact HFI for assistance.
2. Identify Exempted Units:
RPL allows you to identify specific units within the Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification that align with your existing knowledge. You may be exempted from certain units based on your prior learning.
3. Select the RPL Pathway:
Choose the RPL pathway that suits your situation. Whether you opt for Direct Certification (£295.00) because you already have all the necessary prior units or a different reduction depending on how many units you are exempt from. Contract HFI for your discount code.
4. Reduced Cost and Time Savings:
One of the significant advantages of RPL is the potential for cost reduction. The standard cost of the Level 3 Personal Trainer Practitioner qualification, usually £895.00, can be substantially lowered (as low as £295.00) depending on the number of exempted units.
5. Tailored Learning Experience:
RPL provides a personalised and efficient learning experience. You focus on the units that are new to you or require reinforcement, maximising your efforts and time.
6. Expedited Certification:
RPL streamlines the certification process. Once you’ve completed the necessary assessments and any outstanding units, you can swiftly obtain your Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.
Embrace the RPL pathway to Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification, where your wealth of experience is not just recognised but strategically utilised, offering a cost-effective, time-saving and personalised route to achieving your professional goals in the dynamic landscape of the UK fitness industry.
