There are many extra qualifications that can be added on to the core Level 2 Gym Instructing and the most popular and useful seems to be the Level 2 Exercise to Music.
The Level 2 ETM overlaps content with the Level 2 Fitness Instructor so ask about reduced price if you are Level 2 gym qualified already.
Should an employer request add-on modules as part of a job specification, gaining a level 2 add-on would be advisable. Otherwise, it is best to wait until gaining industry experience with level 3 PT in order to judge whether add-ons are necessary.
ETM is a 5-day practical workshop (usually 3 days the first week and then 2 days the following week). The practical assessment is submitted on a DVD and is usually handed about 4 weeks after the initial workshop. Although there is more time for those who prefer to take longer. The theory exams are held every month so you can take this at your convenience. Theory study can begin at any time as this part of the online programme.
