Quick Course Overview

Essential addition to the Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Trainer

Essential for any practicing instructor or personal trainer.

Qualification Introductory Information

First aid qualification is required by all gym instructors and personal trainers. We hold courses every month. First aid training is a minefield of different types or qualifications, mainly due to different industries requiring different levels of qualification. The fitness industry requires personal trainers to hold the 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) qualification. Some self-employed trainers choose to take the 3-day First Aid at Work (FAW) as an additional level of qualification perhaps if they are taking clients outdoors for example. Employed fitness managers could also be required to be 3-day FAW qualified if the person in question has the additional responsibility as the nominated first aider in that particular workplace. The FAW has a 2-day refresher course for renewal and the EFAW is repeat of the original 1-day course for renewal. Both the EFAW and FAW last for 3 years. Be sure to keep your first aid valid to ensure your fitness qualifications and public liability insurance remain valid.

Who is this qualification/course suitable for?

Anyone who is already qualified or is looking to become gym instructor qualified or personal trainer qualified. This course acts as a renewal of a previous EFAW or the 1-day Appointed Person in the Workplace.
