HFI FIRST AID Courses

Would you like to attend a First Aid Course specifically designed for Instructor and Personal Trainers?

First Aid Certification is essential for all Instructors and Trainers - for insurance purposes, to validate qualifications and for piece of mind.

All personal trainers and instructors require a valid First Aid/CPR qualification which must be a valid qualification approved by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). You should maintain this qualification to maximise the safety of your clients and to maintain your public liability insurance. HFI first aid courses are approved by the HSE and the certificate is valid for 3 years. The courses are specifically designed for Instructors and Trainers to maximise learning and be 100% applicable to first aid within an exercise environment. If you do not have a current approved first aid certificate and you are working as a fitness consultant or personal trainer, you must acquire one immediately.

Confused? Do I need 1 day or full 3 days?

Both qualifications comply with all Personal Trainers public liability insurance purposes. But you might need the 3-day FAW if you require more advanced knowledge and practical skills. Call for advice if you are not sure, call 0207 231 3981.

1-Day: Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) A 1 day Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved Emergency First Aid at Work course Qualifications. This course is for people requiring Appointed Person status, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations. Lasts 3 years.
These are held at least once per month in London and also regularly around the UK. £75.00

3-day (used to be 4 days): First Aid at Work (FAW)- A 3 day Health and Safety Executive (HSE) approved First Aid at Work course, in accordance with the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. A more advanced qualification for nominated workplace first aiders, or anyone wanting a comprehensive, interactive introduction to First Aid at work. Lasts 3 years. £295.00

In-company EFAW and FAW courses are also available for your group of employees at very competitive prices. Please email firstaid@hfigroup.com. EFAW for a group up to 12 is £495.00. FAW for group of up to 12 participants is £1650.00.
